The Grantham Practice
The scheme transformed redundant commercial space into a modern primary care facility, providing 11 consulting rooms, clinical support areas and administrative accommodation in line with current HBN and HTM standards.
The existing practice had outgrown its previous premises and required a larger facility to support increased patient demand and evolving service delivery.
The selected building, provided by Hyde Housing Group, required a full strip-out, reconfiguration and upgrade to meet healthcare requirements.
The project was delivered on a constrained urban corner site, surrounded by neighbouring properties, requiring careful management of logistics, sequencing and deliveries to minimise disruption.

Sinden worked closely with NHS Lambeth Clinical Commissioning Group and the consultant team to deliver the scheme in line with the agreed design, maintaining quality and programme certainty throughout construction.
Key elements of our approach included:
- Careful planning and sequencing of works to suit the constrained site
- Detailed logistics management, including controlled deliveries
- Close coordination of contractor-designed elements
- Proactive management of site constraints and risks to maintain safe and efficient delivery

The completed facility provides a high-quality primary care environment that supports both patients and staff.
Key outcomes include:
- Efficient layouts that support improved patient flow and day-to-day operations
- Fully compliant building services aligned with healthcare standards
- Enhanced accessibility, with most clinical spaces located at ground floor level
The result is a practical, well-organised facility that improves patient experience and supports efficient service delivery, providing a flexible healthcare space for the local community now and into the future.
