Sinden Achieves Successful Gateway 2 Approval on two higher-risk buildings
Edge Apartments – Stratford and Horizon Building – Hove, are both residential fire-remediation projects to existing higher-risk buildings (HRBs) and our pre-construction input, mark a significant milestone in the project’s delivery; reinforcing our commitment to building safety, quality and regulatory excellence.
Gateway 2 forms a critical stage of the Building Safety Act regime for Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs) requiring detailed demonstration that a project’s design and construction proposals fully comply with Building Regulations, before construction can commence.
The approval process is widely recognised across the industry as one of the most rigorous regulatory gateways introduced in recent years. The successful approval reflects the collaborative efforts of our project team, consultants, design partners and client representatives, who worked closely to develop a comprehensive and robust submission that met the stringent requirements of the Building Safety Regulator.
The submission included detailed evidence demonstrating compliance across all relevant Building Regulations, with particular focus on fire safety, structural integrity, design management and information control. Achieving approval provides confidence that the project has established a strong foundation for safe and compliant delivery throughout the construction phase.
